Location details and information
Florida Keys Shooting Club operates multiple shooting ranges at their Key Largo location, serving members and hosting law enforcement training from agencies including USCG, Border Patrol, DEA, and local SWAT teams. The club runs a full calendar of events—IDPA matches, 100-yard competitions, and specialized training courses.
The facility includes 25, 50, and 100-yard ranges. The 100-yard range requires advance coordination with the range coordinator to schedule access and confirm shooter count and hand orientation.
Guest fee is $10 (deposited in the money box). Kids from the community can participate in the Kids Shooting Club throughout the year—open to members and non-members.
New members must attend the mandatory Safety Brief when scheduled. Renewing members can print applications online and mail with dues. The club accepts credit card payments (additional fees apply—contact Al Di Buono for details).
- •Yearly meeting: 2nd Sunday of December at 11:00am (mandatory for new members; renewal members don't need to attend)
- •Hours: 8am until dusk. Shooting is not allowed before or after these times
- •Contact: [email protected] or P.O. Box 2468, Key Largo, FL 33037
The club takes safety seriously. Safety glasses and ear protection are mandatory. The club publishes real incident reports to drive home why—one member suffered a forehead laceration from an ejected spent case that could have been far worse without eyewear.
"If the ejected case had been slightly lower, the result could have been disastrous without safety glasses."
The club website maintains a detailed calendar showing which ranges are available, when law enforcement is training, and when events like IDPA matches are scheduled. 100-yard shooters should contact the coordinator with specific details: expected shooting time and duration, guest count, and left/right-hand shooter breakdown.
