Full description and what we offer
CreekBed Taxidermy is a specialized bird mounting operation in Bloomingdale, Georgia. Ron Hutchinson does one thing: realistic bird mounts for hunters. That's it.
Ron grew up hunting and fishing with his grandfather. He became a professional wildlife photographer in Georgia and Tennessee, studied fine art at AAU, and earned a degree in forestry and wildlife conservation with special focus on waterfowl migration and habitat. He trained under both state and national champion taxidermists for waterfowl and turkeys. His first bird mount—a flying turkey—was in 2006. After years of mounting birds for himself and friends, he decided to do this full-time.
| Bird Type | Standing/Flying | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Turkeys | Standing/Strutting/Flying | $950–$1,000 |
| Canada Geese | Any pose | $850 |
| Medium Geese (Snow, Speckled Belly) | Any pose | $550 |
| Ducks (all varieties) | Any pose | $375 |
| Pheasants | Standing/Flying | $375 |
| Quail/Chukar | Standing/Flying | $365 |
Open mouth turkey mounts add $10. Custom bases and habitats available. 7% Georgia sales tax applies.
Ron's credentials matter: state-licensed by Georgia and federally permitted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to work with game birds and protected migratory birds. His years studying bird anatomy and color tones as a photographer show in the mounts—hunters consistently say the realism is stunning.
