Full description and what we offer
Gunshow operates out of 924 Garrett Street in Atlanta's Glenwood Park neighborhood as an interactive restaurant experience where the kitchen is the dining room. There's zero separation between diners and chefs—the bright lights, heat, and action of food preparation surround you.
You don't order from a menu and wait. Instead, chefs and cooks walk directly to your table with completed dishes. They describe what you're eating, answer questions, and let you decide what sounds good. Your server marks off a menu as you order drinks and food. It's structured chaos—intentional and designed.
Cocktails come the same way. A bartender rolls a cart stocked with spirits and fresh ingredients to your table and builds drinks in front of you, explaining ingredients and flavor profiles as they work.
Founder Kevin Gillespie named the restaurant after his father. Growing up in Georgia, his dad worked seven days a week to support the family. On rare Sunday afternoons off, father and son went to gun shows together. That tradition of quality time on limited time became the restaurant's DNA—making dining feel special and intentional.
Expect different dishes nearly every visit. On average, two dishes rotate out weekly, with individual plates staying on the menu for about three weeks. The kitchen sources from a collective of local Georgia farmers and ranchers, which means the menu reflects what's actually available that week.
Recent offerings have included:
Vegetarian and vegan options available with 48-hour notice. All allergies and dietary restrictions accommodated with advance notice.

Gunshow partners with this nonprofit (co-founded by Kevin Gillespie) providing meals for 500+ people from food-insecure families in the Maynard Jackson school cluster. The program sources from local purveyors and uses compostable containers. A $20 donation provides a meal for four. Plans to expand to additional school clusters across Atlanta.
