South Atlanta Practical Shooting Club (SAPSC) hosts USPSA-sanctioned matches that test real-world shooting skills under realistic conditions. Unlike static range shooting, practical matches involve movement, multiple targets, and problem-solving with your firearm.
Every Tuesday Night at Autrey's Armory, Fayetteville - Registration: 6:00 PM - Match starts: 7:00 PM - 2 stages, up to 100 rounds - Level 1 competition
2nd Tuesday of Each Month (Classifier Night) - Same location and time - Includes field stage and official classifier - Run 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
2nd Saturday of Each Month at ARO (Atlanta Range and Ordnance), Newnan - Registration: 1:00 PM - Match starts: 2:00 PM - 4 stages, 150-200 rounds - Bring 200+ rounds for this match
- •Pistol (9mm or larger caliber)
- •Holster (must be secure)
- •At least 3 magazines
- •At least 2 magazine pouches
- •100+ rounds (200 for Saturday matches)
- •Eye and ear protection
New shooters are always welcome and must arrive 25 minutes early for a verbal safety briefing and equipment check.
USPSA competition has been the training ground for police and military techniques for decades. Today's USPSA top competitors regularly work as trainers for elite law enforcement and military units. Nearly 400 affiliated clubs across the US run matches weekly, making this one of the most accessible ways to compete against skilled shooters and measure your performance.
