Orchard Combat Training Center is a premier joint combined arms training facility located 18 miles south of Boise, Idaho, operated by the Idaho Army National Guard. This 173,000-acre installation serves as a world-class training site for military personnel and authorized personnel only.
The Orchard Combat Training Center has been a critical training asset for the Idaho National Guard and Army Reserve since 1953. Situated within the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, the facility features vast terrain, diverse topography, and a four-season climate ideal for realistic combat training scenarios.

The facility includes the Organizational Readiness Training Center (ORTC) with battalion operations buildings, company operations buildings, unit maintenance sheds, and barracks. Logistics support includes a railhead with four rail spurs, central vehicle wash area, weapons cleaning facilities, dining facility seating 330 personnel, and comprehensive maintenance buildings.
Military personnel and authorized personnel only. Installation access requires valid government ID and installation credentials. The facility operates under controlled hours and military regulations apply to all activities.
