About This Program

What to expect when you show up

[Steel Challenge](/handbook/steel-challenge) is a handgun speed competition where you shoot steel targets arranged in specific patterns, racing the clock while staying accurate. It's the fastest way to test your draw, transitions, and trigger control against other shooters in a real match environment. You'll shoot a series of stages, each with different target arrays and shooting positions. Your best time on each stage counts, and the competitor with the lowest total time wins. It's straightforward and repeatable—you'll know exactly how you stack up.
