Clay Peak

Clay Peak is a primitive Bureau of Land Management (BLM) shooting area located in Payette County, Idaho, offering public access to a rustic outdoor shooting facility. This public land shooting area welcomes rifle, pistol, and shotgun enthusiasts, as well as hunters preparing for the season.

Clay Peak provides free, public access during daylight hours on BLM-managed lands in the Payette area. As a primitive facility with no developed infrastructure, visitors should be prepared for a backcountry shooting experience.

Clay Peak supports a variety of shooting sports and hunting preparation:

All BLM regulations apply at Clay Peak, including strict requirements to pack out all brass casings and targets. Shooting is permitted during daylight hours only, and is prohibited during fire restriction periods. Idaho state firearms laws must be followed at all times.
