Damuth Taxidermy isn't chasing size or fame. Their goal is simple: be the best, not the biggest. Since opening in 1979, they've built a 13,400 square foot operation with 10 employees, all committed to refusing shortcuts in tanning, mounting, and finishing.
Gary Damuth is an award-winning taxidermist at both state and national levels. He's a certified scorer for Pope and Young Club and Safari Club International—meaning your trophy gets handled by someone who understands hunting standards.
Gary specializes in:
Turnaround is 10-12 months from deposit. They'll notify you by mail or email when your mount is ready, and you can pick it up whenever convenient—or have it shipped.
A 50% deposit gets your trophy in the queue. The remaining balance is due when work is complete. Half-size mounts run 60% of life-size pricing. Pedestals add 35% plus base cost. Open mouth work starts at $150 extra.
Tanning services are available separately—whitetail full hides run $275, bobcats with head/feet are $250.
Before your next hunt, contact them for field care tips. Many capes get damaged in the field due to improper handling. Their guidance helps ensure your specimen arrives in perfect condition for mounting.
