Full description and what we offer
Ferdinand Processing started in 1988 and has spent the last three decades perfecting the craft of custom meat processing. They handle beef, pork, and venison—turning hunters' harvests and livestock into finished products ready for your freezer.
Venison Processing gets special attention here. For 30 years they've transformed deer meat into summer sausage, snack sticks, bologna, jerky, and fresh ground meat. You bring in your confirmation number and drop your deer meat—they handle the rest. They offer a detailed venison processing price list so you know costs upfront.
Beef Processing runs at two price tiers: - Kill charge: $140 per head - Cut, wrap & freeze: $0.85/lb (under 1,000 lbs hanging weight) or $1.00/lb (1,001+ lbs) - Add-ons: cubed steak ($1.25/lb), stew meat ($1.25/lb), breakfast steak ($1.25/lb), seasoned burgers ($1.50/lb), netted roasts ($2.25 each), NY strip & filets ($25 per quarter), beef brisket ($10 each)
Pork Processing costs less to start: - Kill charge: $80 per head - Cut, wrap & freeze: $0.85/lb - Options: cured & smoked ($1.25/lb), seasoned bulk sausage ($0.75/lb), seasoned link sausage ($1.50/lb), seasoned piggy links ($1.75/lb), seasoned pork patties ($1.75/lb), tenderizing ($1.25/lb)
Their signature blends have earned IMPAA Awards. Instead of keeping them exclusive, Ferdinand Processing now sells DIY seasoning kits in smaller packages. Each kit includes a comprehensive PDF guide with step-by-step instructions for making: - Salami - Snack sticks - Bologna (Smoked, German, Pepper varieties) - Summer sausage - Pork sausage
Seasonings available include FP Salami Seasoning, FP Snack Sticks Seasoning, FP Smoked Bologna Seasoning, FP German Bologna Seasoning, Pepper Bologna Seasoning, and FP Pork Sausage Seasoning.
Their retail store stocks fresh cuts, cooked products, bacon, deli meats, cheeses, and more—updated weekly with customer favorites. Top sellers include fully cooked beef tips & gravy, cured & smoked bacon, marinated bacon-wrapped boneless pork chops, hickory smoked sausage, hillbilly burgers, and pulled BBQ pork with sauce.
Retail Store Hours: Thursday & Friday 7:30 AM–5 PM | Saturday 7:30 AM–Noon (EST)
The shop stocks everything for home processing: - Seasonings & Cures: Pink Sure Cure, FP seasonings (listed above) - Casings: Fibrous sausage casings ($1.50+), natural sheep casings ($56.25), natural hog casings ($6.00+) - Cheese: Hi Temp Pepper Jack and Cheddar (both $17.00+) - Packaging: Meat bags ($6.99+), butcher paper ($68.00+), 3 mil vacuum chamber pouches ($19.00+) - Tools: Case XX Knives - Dried ingredients: Jalapeno peppers ($7.99+)
