Frehse Taxidermy Studios is a second-generation family business that's been delivering award-winning taxidermy since 1966. Located just north of South Milford near LaGrange, Indiana, the studio combines decades of artistic skill with meticulous craftsmanship.
Gary Frehse specializes in gameheads and lifesize mammals displayed in natural habitat settings. His work has gained recognition from local newspapers to national television exposure—including appearances on the David Letterman show. The studio regularly accepts commissions from across the globe, handling animals from African safaris, Russian bear hunts, New Zealand expeditions, and Alaskan/Canadian wilderness.
"High quality mounts can be expected to last a lifetime. Poorly done work can deteriorate in five years or less."
The studio is routinely commissioned for animals featured in television programs and magazine articles. After completion, mounts are carefully packed in sturdy custom enclosures and shipped all over the country.
Given the time and money invested in a trophy hunt, inferior taxidermy work risks losing that once-in-a-lifetime memory. This is where decades of proven experience matters.
