South Central Gun Club (SCGC) is a USPSA-sanctioned shooting club in southern Indiana that combines competitive match opportunities with open range facilities. They host two regular event series:
- •USPSA Matches (First Weekend Monthly)
- •Six-stage courses testing speed and accuracy
- •Sign-up at 9 AM, shooting starts 10 AM
- •Cost: $20 non-members / $10 members / $5 Range Officers
- •Steel Challenge Matches (Third Saturday Monthly)
- •Four to five stages with steel targets of various sizes
- •Minimal gear required—ideal for new competitors
- •Cost: $10 per gun, 100-round minimum
The club operates dedicated shooting areas for different firearms types:

All range users must maintain active club membership. Immediate family members (spouse, children, grandchildren) are covered under one membership. New members must attend orientation before first use. Membership renewals open November 1st and must be completed by March 1st.
The club enforces strict safety standards including the NRA Fundamental Rules, mandatory hearing and eye protection, and cold range protocols during all matches. Firearms not in active use must be unloaded and either locked open, marked with an Empty Chamber Indicator, or properly cased.
New shooters welcome. Steel matches are specifically designed to accommodate beginners with minimal equipment. No experience required to attend.

Safety Information

Restrictions
- •Members only (membership required for range access)
- •No machine guns, fully automatic firearms, or bump stocks
- •No forced reset triggers or binary triggers
- •No exploding targets (Tannerite, binary explosives)
- •No steel shot on steel targets
- •No shotgun slugs on steel targets
- •No glass, ceramic, or concrete targets
- •No tree stands permitted
- •Rifle shooting limited to bays 7-9 and 200 yards maximum
- •Cold range policy during all matches and sanctioned events
- •No firearms under influence of drugs or alcohol
