One of Only Two Hults Bruk Dealers in Iowa — The store carries seven different Hults Bruk axes, from the Bjork camping axe to larger felling axes and smaller hatchets. Hults Bruk has been manufacturing axes in Sweden since 1697.

The Alite Mayfly Chair ($99) is a lightweight three-legged camping chair that folds into a rocker or recline position and packs down to 11.5" x 4.3" x 4.3", weighing just 1.6 pounds.

Fin & Feather is known for supporting local outdoor adventures. The store's blog author Brad Lane (trail name "Hawkeye") completed a 2,600+ mile thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail starting May 2, 2016, using gear primarily sourced from the shop. Staff helped him assemble his complete hiking kit over the course of a year, and the store documented his journey and gear choices for customers planning their own adventures.

The store also sponsors community events and fundraising activities, including coverage of Ryan Wade's run across Iowa for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
