Full description and what we offer
Satern began in 1997 when Debra and Steven Satern started assembling precision target rifles in their garage. Steve's background as a machine builder and competitive shooter drove them into firearms manufacturing. What started as precision rifle assembly and shooting accessories—bore guides, powder funnels, loading tools—evolved into serious barrel production.
In 2003, Steve's search for an extremely accurate rifle barrel led them into barrel manufacturing. They designed and built specialized equipment from the ground up, giving Satern barrels their reputation for accuracy and precision.
Satern develops their machinery in-house. This isn't outsourced—they design, build, and continuously improve their own equipment. That approach directly impacts quality:
"Our dedication to maintaining rigorous quality control standards and an unwavering focus on precision has propelled Satern to the forefront of the rifle barrel industry."
Barrels come in multiple calibers and configurations (223 Wylde, 6.5 Grendel II, 350 Legend, and more). They also manufacture shooting accessories including powder funnels and other reloading tools.
Satern manufactures in Estherville, Iowa. All machinery development and production happens in-house—no outsourced barrel blanks.
