Mission Valley Hunt Club operates as a membership-based equestrian organization dedicated to preserving the traditions and etiquette of field hunting. The club maintains over 90 years of continuous operation and has evolved from its original Kansas City location to its current 800-acre facility in Paola, Kansas, which became a Kansas Land Trust property in 2002.
The club offers: - Mounted fox hunts on horseback following working hound packs - Multiple skill-level fields including First Field for advanced riders, Second Field, Hilltopper, and Walk-Trot spectator field - Seasonal hunting from September through April, twice weekly - Off-season activities including trail rides, hound walks, and social gatherings - Hunt country featuring rolling meadows, woods, farm and grazing land with wooden coops throughout
The club welcomes riders of all disciplines (English and Western) who possess: - A helmet (ASTM approved) - A suitable horse - Passion for adventure and field hunting tradition
Experienced field masters lead groups suited to various skill levels, ensuring safe enjoyment for everyone from novice to advanced riders. The club maintains fixtures in multiple locations across Kansas and Missouri.
