Doug started mounting animals in 1980 at age 16 while working at VanLeunens Sporting Goods. He spent seven years mounting bear, deer, squirrel, turkey, and various other animals before stepping away. He returned to taxidermy in 2020 with Emerson's Taxidermy and has since mounted specimens from Kentucky, Texas, Nebraska, Florida, Arkansas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Kansas, and Africa.

Emerson's offers in-house tanning for fur, exotics, and reptiles—all work is done on-site for mounting purposes.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY — Contact Doug before dropping off your trophy. He hunts regularly and may be in the woods.

50% deposit required on all work. Current whitetail pricing: $750 for shoulder mount, $850 for pedestal mount.
