Full description and what we offer
FGS Engineering specializes in NFA engraving and firearm marking using fiber laser technology. Their work is designed to meet ATF specifications under 28 CFR § 478.92—critical if you're building a Form 1 or need to mark receivers with serial numbers.
- •AR lowers (6061/7075 aluminum)
- •Steel frames (all magnetic metals)
- •Polymer frames (Glock, PS90, and similar)
- •Form 1 silencers
- •Magazines with custom marking
- •Timer dog tags
| Item Type | First Item | Additional (Same Model) |
|---|---|---|
| AR lowers | $30 | $15 each |
| Steel frames | Starting $50 | 50% off |
| Polymer frames | Starting $100 | 50% off |
| Form 1 silencers | $35 | $20 each |
If you're refinishing your receiver with Cerakote, GunKote, or similar coatings, specify that when ordering—they need to know so the laser mark stays compliant after additional layers are applied.
Metal inserts work best for polymer receivers to avoid "mushrooming" from heat. Steel frames are ideal. AR lowers can ship with the buffer tube attached, but larger receivers should be disassembled before drop-off. If you send a completed rifle that needs disassembly, expect a $25 minimum shop charge.
FGS Engineering also stocks reloading accessories (Dillon Precision, RCBS, Hornady), firearm accessories, 3D stage design components, and range equipment. They carry everything from magazine loaders and cleaning rod racks to wall-mount storage solutions.
All engraving services on serialized firearms are performed by FGS Equities, LLC, a federally licensed firearms manufacturer in Ashland, KY. A copy of their FFL is available upon request.
- •Shipping: Customer pays both ways, but they provide UPS labels with competitive rates as part of your order.
