The NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Training is designed for individuals with basic firearm safety and shooting skills who wish to become certified NRA instructors. This comprehensive course covers both foundational instructor training and discipline-specific pistol instruction.
The program is presented in two parts:
Participants demonstrate organizational and teaching skills through practical exercises and complete an instructor certification examination.
The $225 course fee includes all required training materials: - NRA Trainer's Guide - NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet - NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet
Candidates must possess basic firearm safety and shooting skills. Prior to instructor training, participants complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background through pre-course assessment exercises. A valid NRA member number is required at the training.
