Natchitoches Gun Club operates dedicated ranges for shotgun, rifle, and pistol disciplines, plus a sporting clays trail that winds through northwest Louisiana's natural pine and hardwood terrain—giving hunters and clay shooters alike a realistic practice environment.
The shotgun program includes: - Sporting clays trail with multiple stations through natural hunting habitat (bonus: shade in summer) - 5-stand, trap, and skeet areas - Two newer stations ("The Stage" and "The Hole") with roof coverage to practice out of sun and rain - Both coached sessions and self-directed practice - NSCA registered tournaments and informal competitions
Clay fees run $12.50 per 25 shots for sporting clays, $10 per 25 for skeet/5-stand/trap. Shotgun rentals available at $30/day.
Covered outdoor ranges with concrete stations: - Rifle range: 10 stations up to 100 yards (perfect for sighting in) - Pistol range: 18 stations up to 25 yards, plus additional stations to 45 yards
Both ranges regularly host law enforcement training and qualifications.
NRA-certified instructors offer: - Concealed carry classes - Basic and defensive pistol - Defensive rifle - Hunter education (rifle and shotgun) - Home defense instruction - Individual or group lessons
The club has run youth programs since its founding. Local 4-H is active here, and you'll regularly see family groups in informal practice sessions. Event hosting available for club championships, fundraisers, corporate events, and family celebrations with local catering options.
