Deep Portage

Deep Portage Learning Center is a nonprofit environmental education facility spanning over 6,000 acres of lakes, bogs, rivers, and woodlands near Hackensack, Minnesota. Since 1975, they've provided outdoor experiences for school groups, overnight campers, families, and nature enthusiasts.

Through the exploration of woods, water, and wildlife, Deep Portage prepares and inspires learners of all ages to sustain and celebrate our natural world.

The center also features renewable energy installations (solar, wind, biomass) and teaches sustainability alongside traditional outdoor skills.
