Onsite Body Armor is a d.b.a. for Tactical Products & Services, Inc., a Minnesota corporation owned by Jim Thienes—a licensed and active peace officer in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. This isn't a corporate body armor distributor. It's a cop running a business for cops.

Jim's background tells the story. He spent most of his career as a corporate executive, building a small business from 4 employees to 40. Then 9/11 happened. Two of his kids joined the military—his oldest son did three tours in Iraq as an 0311 (infantry) Marine with 1 MEU 3/5 India, and his youngest daughter served as an MP with the Army's 101st Airborne. At 44, Jim was too old to enlist himself, so he went back to school and became a cop. He knows what it means to serve, and he knows business.
