Public Trap

Monticello Sportsmen Club's public trap shoot on April 30th is a straightforward clay target event open to anyone with a shotgun. You'll shoot singles in the standard trap format: five stations, 25 targets per round, with clay birds launching at different angles downrange.

This is solid fundamentals work. You call and swing, the machine throws, you break targets. No complicated courses or scenarios—just you, your shotgun, and consistent shooting positions. Good way to tune your technique or put rounds downrange with other shooters.
