Turcotte Shooting Range is a public facility run by the Fisheries and Parks Department, located off the Natchez Trace on the north side of the Ross Barnett Reservoir in central Mississippi. The facility offers pistol, rifle and archery ranges along with a sporting clays course and skeet options. The sporting clays course winds through the woods along an asphalt path about 1.25 miles round trip, laid out across 12 stages. A separate 5 stage range is also available.
The range offers handgun classes, including an enhanced carry course. A range master patrols the grounds and walks new shooters through how the clay-throwing machines work.
