The Boeing Employees' Rifle & Pistol Club (BERPC) of St. Louis runs organized shooting competitions year-round. While the club's name references Boeing employment, they welcome both members and non-members to compete.
BERPC conducts pistol matches the second Saturday of each month at Ultimate Defense Firing Range and Training Center in St. Peters, MO. Matches start at 7:30 AM and wrap by 9:00 AM. Match fee: $25.
Three pistol formats rotate monthly:
Rifle competitions run April through October at August A Busch Memorial Conservation Area Shooting Range. Matches held the fourth Saturday of each month. Start time 7:30 AM setup (first shots 8:00 AM), finished by 9:30 AM. Match fees: $12 members / $18 non-members. Non-members can shoot without joining.

Membership requires signed waiver. Join on match day if needed. Age 21+ required for PPC matches per insurance rules.
Ultimate Defense (pistol range) requires free Associate membership—fill out their waiver at the facility or online ahead of time to save match prep minutes.
Bring eye and ear protection. Most shooters bring their own spotting scopes, but MDC range office has scopes available to borrow. Ammunition requirements vary: pistol 50-84 rounds, rifle 32-64 rounds, 3-gun 26 rifle + 12 pistol per relay.
Equipment rules are specific (no steel-core rifle ammo on MDC ranges, holster draw requirement for PPC starting October 2025, handgun minimum .38 Special revolver/.380 semi-auto for IDPA). Review match instructions before your first competition.
Pistol matches: January 10, February 14 (IDPA), March 22 (Rimfire), April 11, May 9 (IDPA), June 13 (Rimfire)... rotating format through December.
Rifle matches: April 25 (Bench Rest), May 23 (High-Power), June 27 (Bench Rest), July 25 (High-Power), continuing through October.
Match calendar updated annually. Scores posted online after competition.
