Allen Precision Shooting started in 2001 when Kirby Allen built his shop in Fort Shaw, MT with a single goal: become a world-class precision rifle manufacturer. The first three years were grinding—general gunsmithing work paid the bills while Allen studied the techniques of top precision builders across the country, testing methods and developing his own processes.
By 2004, Allen shifted focus to semi-custom builds based on accurized Remington 700 and Savage M110 receivers fitted with match-grade barrels and quality stocks. That's when he established the standard that still defines every APS rifle today:
Every rifle must prove capable of 1/2 MOA accuracy potential or better at long range—or it doesn't ship.
Factory rebuild work is mostly behind them. The shop focuses on purpose-built precision platforms:
Each rifle is treated like it's going into Allen's personal gun safe. That's the standard.
Allen sees customers as friends first. The attention to detail isn't marketing—it's foundational. Twenty+ years of building precision rifles means understanding that long-range performance isn't accidental. Ballistics, terminal performance, and reliability drive every design decision.
