Woodline Defense

Woodline Defense operates out of Omaha and teaches one core principle: gunfighting is movement. Every class emphasizes footwork, steady platforms while mobile, and working through problems under pressure. They don't just teach you to shoot—they teach you to fight.

• •Pistol Fundamentals - Starting with the basics. Proper grip, sight picture, trigger control. If you've got a handgun and want to learn how to run it, this is the foundation course.

• •Pistol Movement - Footwork and shooting platforms on the move. Building the skill set to transition from static drills to real-world scenarios where you're never standing still.

• •Rifle Courses - Gunfighting with rifles. Quick response, use of cover, different angles and positions, problem-solving under stress.

• •Team Training - Custom courses built around your team's goals. Woodline instructors will travel to your location and design the day around what you need to work on.

• •Church Security Programs - Specialized instruction for church security teams. Includes scenarios, room clearing, moving to the threat, engaging threats, and dealing with aftermath. Instructors will establish new teams or enhance existing ones.

Jake Hansen - Owner and lead instructor. Former law enforcement with decades of hand-to-hand combatives training. NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer. IDPA/USPSA competitor. He founded Woodline to equip what he calls "the Protectors"—people with a heart to defend others.

Jon Savin - Intern instructor. Former US Army Infantry (11B) and current ER nurse. Competitive shooter in IDPA and USPSA. Savin's approach is to observe where you're at, then guide you to where you need to be.
