Swanson Hunting Acres is a hunting preserve near Niobrara, Nebraska, in business since 1983. The preserve covers 1,600 acres of native vegetation across rolling hills, cropland, and rangeland, all family owned and adjoining the hunting lodge.
The preserve offers pheasant hunts from September 15 through January 1, guided by experienced staff who lead guests through the hunting land. Guests stay at a hand-built log lodge, and can shoot trap on site before a hunt.
Restrictions
- •Pheasant hunting season: September 15 - January 1 only
- •Hunters under 16 must have completed a Hunter Safety course
- •All hunters must wear hunter's orange cap (provided)
- •No alcoholic beverages allowed in the field
- •No smoking in the fields
- •Valid Nebraska hunting license and Habitat Stamp required
- •Cash only - no debit or credit cards accepted
