"Winning is Secondary but Comes Often for California Grizzlies"
The team recently returned from Camp Perry National Matches in Ohio, where juniors posted personal bests. Their alumni include Sgt. Sagen Maddalena, who qualified for both air rifle and small bore at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In 2023, the Grizzlies' 10-person junior squad won the Juniors Rattle Battle competition at nationals. The program continues to add new competitors—recently accepting 7 new juniors (5 girls, 2 boys) after their January kickoff at Sacramento Valley Shooting Club.
