Beyond just cutting noise, a quality suppressor:
Suppressors are regulated under the National Firearms Act. You'll need to:
1. Complete ATF Form 4 with your personal information 2. Provide two fingerprint cards (ATF Form 258) 3. Submit two passport-sized photos (signed on back) 4. Pay the $200 federal tax stamp 5. Wait for ATF approval (several months typical)
InertHaze walks you through every step of the Form 4 process and ensures your application meets all federal and state requirements.
Suppressors are legal for civilian ownership in 42 states. They're prohibited in: California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Hawaii. Some states restrict suppressor use for hunting. InertHaze can help you verify your state's specific rules.
Key compatibility factors:
"Our suppressors can be used on multiple firearms, but ensure thread pitch matches each firearm and confirm caliber compatibility for safety and performance."
Suppressors designed for one caliber shouldn't be used on another—barrel adapters may help with threading differences, but never compromise on caliber matching.
