MacDougall Sportsmen's Club

MacDougall Sportsmen's Club operates as a family-oriented facility dedicated to shooting sports, fishing, and conservation. Located at 3800 MacDougall Road in Waterloo, NY, the club has been serving the Finger Lakes region's hunting and shooting community with separate, safely-spaced shooting areas and a secluded private pond.

Members get access to all club facilities year-round:

Trap & Skeet - Two separate two-trap fields (upper and lower houses) - Dedicated skeet field with a second field under construction (completion expected April) - Open Trap Night every Wednesday for practice and instruction

Rifle & Pistol Range - 100-yard shooting range with space to set up targets anywhere in the area - Accommodates shotguns, rifles, and pistols - Target holders provided; shooters supply their own targets and ammunition - Sign-in/out system required; regulations posted on-site

All shooting areas are isolated from one another to ensure shooters don't interfere with each other's activities.

"Our private pond is tucked back on our property where it is nice and secluded."

The stocked pond features: - Largemouth bass, sunfish, and grass carp (for weed control) - Full maintenance and regular weed raking - Swimming, camping, cookout, and small campfire access - Wildlife viewing opportunities: deer, beavers, red fox, and blue herons throughout the year

Members receive: - Unlimited access to all ranges and pond facilities - Use of target holders and club grounds - Clubhouse access for member meetings and private events - Voting rights and participation in club governance

The club hosts frequent member activities including: - 16th Annual Bob Klemann Memorial Shoot (January 1st with complementary breakfast) - Concealed carry training courses (18-hour NY State courses, multiple dates) - Multi-state permit courses (Utah/Florida carry permits) - Whitetail Obsession Buck Club dinners - Friday night fish fry (March-May, 4-8 PM) - Steak nights, prime rib dinners, and wings nights - Kids Christmas Party - Spring ham & shrimp shoot and raffle
