Full description and what we offer
Captain Kenneth Brown didn't just move to the Outer Banks—he was born here. His grandfather, Aycock Brown, pioneered tourism development for Dare County. His father was a charter captain and public school history teacher. Kenneth started fishing at age eight and worked summers as a first mate for his dad before turning professional.
He spent five years (1990-1995) as a Gulf Stream mate under Captain Omie Tillett while earning a mechanical engineering degree from North Carolina State University. After a brief stint in Virginia, he came back to the water and worked on multiple charter boats—the Smoker with Captain Brynner Parks, Wildfire with Captain Ned Ashby, and the Carolinian with Captain Tony Tillett—before launching Trophy Hunter Charters.
"Most days it is hard to call what I do work." — Captain Kenneth Brown
