Perch Eyes Guide Service operates out of Minnewaukan, North Dakota—two blocks from Devils Lake—with guided fishing trips on two of the region's most productive fisheries: Devils Lake (145,000 acres, 450 miles of shoreline) and Lake Sakakawea on the Missouri River.
Jason Feldner, the lead guide, has been guiding professionally for 25 years. His approach is straightforward: "I get more enjoyment from putting people on fish and the look on their faces when they're pulling in their catch."
The operation runs with multiple licensed guides:
Open Water (Summer & Fall): - 20-foot Lund boats (replaced new every 2 years) - Fully rigged fishing rods, tackle, and bait - Life jackets included - Fish cleaning service - Licensed guide instruction on productive areas and techniques
Ice Fishing (Winter): - Heated ice houses - Fishing rods, tackle, and bait provided - Vexilar fish locators (limited availability) - Lunch provided - Fish cleaning included

Fully furnished houses within two blocks of the lake. Each property includes beds/linens, full kitchen with dishwasher and stove, washer/dryer, cable TV, and towels.
Location Advantage: All lodging is one block from grocery store, bar, and bait shop. Free transportation provided to/from hotels, airport, or Amtrak station in the area.
Devils Lake: Operates from the Minnewaukan area with full lake access via boat ramps. Specializes in trolling and jigging deep structure.
Lake Sakakawea (Missouri River): Based out of Indian Hills resort and campground, approximately 30 miles west of Garrison. Fishes from Newtown to Garrison.
Guides teach you the productive areas for that time of year, proper techniques, and bait selection. Equipment is new each season. Safety is prioritized with regularly replaced boats and modern gear. Fish are cleaned for you—you just need to bring proper clothing.
Seasonal hunting + fishing combinations offered. Duck hunting available with large waterfowl numbers in fall. Spring Missouri River walleye trips target trophy fish.
Submit a reservation request form online specifying trip date, duration (full/half day), trip type (summer, winter, ice fishing), group size, species preferences, and lodging choice. Groups larger than 4 people should call for custom pricing.
