Indoor Firing Range and Combat Arms Training and Maintenance

The Minot Air Force Base Indoor Firing Range and Combat Arms Training Facility is a state-of-the-art firearms training complex located at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota. Completed in 2023, this $45 million facility serves active-duty personnel and authorized base users with comprehensive marksmanship and weapons training.

This 76,400 square-foot facility provides advanced firearms training capabilities designed to meet modern military standards. The range features:

• •35-lane firing range for individual small arms training
• •4-lane machine gun range for crew-served weapons training
• •Elevated range control booths with separate operations centers for safe, coordinated range management
• •Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) facility featuring flexible instructional space

The facility accommodates up to 234 personnel across various activities. The CATM component includes two 35-seat classrooms with a folding partition wall that allows them to be combined into a larger training space for battalion-level instruction.

Beyond the firing ranges, the complex provides comprehensive support infrastructure including instructor office areas, arms issue and vault rooms, weapons maintenance workshop, student weapons cleaning areas, range supply storage, break areas, shower facilities, and full utility support systems.

This is a military-exclusive facility located at Minot Air Force Base. Access is restricted to active-duty military personnel, authorized base users, and individuals with appropriate Department of Defense credentials. Civilian access is not available. Prospective users must verify eligibility through Minot Air Force Base security protocols.
