Full description and what we offer
Blazing Red Kennels develops hunting and competition retrievers in Darke County farmland, an hour northwest of Dayton. Their full-time training programs focus on creating reliable hunting partners and advanced hunt test competitors.
Dogs train across diverse terrain: wetlands, flooded timber, farm ponds, gravel pits, hay fields, wooded land, rolling cattle farms, milo, switch grasses, and harvested corn fields. This real-world exposure prepares dogs for actual hunting conditions.
Occasionally available puppies from top field and English lines, descended from test-titled females. All puppies are socialized and started on wing-clipped pigeons at 5 weeks. Water introduction begins at 6 weeks (weather permitting). Specialty: Dark yellow and fox red retrievers. Written guarantees included.
They also accept started dogs for training and work with handlers to build the skills needed for successful hunting partnerships.
