Blue Line LTD started in 1950 as Sam's Guns and Surplus on Youngstown's south side, founded by Daniel Farinelli's grandfather—a WWII Marine who later served 35 years with the Youngstown Police Department. After his passing in 1997, the business passed to Daniel's father and uncle, both career law enforcement (30 and 35 years respectively).

Blue Line LTD started in 1950 as Sam's Guns and Surplus on Youngstown's south side, founded by Daniel Farinelli's grandfather—a WWII Marine who later served 35 years with the Youngstown Police Department. After his passing in 1997, the business passed to Daniel's father and uncle, both career law enforcement (30 and 35 years respectively). Daniel took over in 2012, bringing his own experience as a full-time firefighter/EMT.
