Dayton Armor started in 2010 as a Department of Defense research contractor developing lightweight body armor for Special Operations Forces. After years of refinement, they now produce what they call the thinnest, lightest body armor in the world.
"The manageable weight and thickness allows me to slide my plates alongside my issued armor. It's nice to be able to wear a vest with such durability 24/7." — Jordan J., law enforcement
Their ceramic plates weigh 1 lb each while maintaining the ballistic protection officers and civilians need. No trade-off between safety and wearability.
Because the plates are thinner and lighter, they actually integrate with existing body armor instead of adding bulk. That means no all-day fatigue, easier vehicle entry, and genuine comfort during extended wear—something most armor simply doesn't deliver.
