And Sons Magazine wrapped its final chapter in Spring 2023 after 10 years of creating content for men committed to spiritual maturation and authentic living. Founded by Sam Eldredge, the publication became known for refusing corporate platitudes and instead offering raw, honest discussions about what it means to be a man in the modern world.
Over a decade, And Sons produced:
Articles and stories tackled real topics affecting young men:
"This is a no-B.S. men's magazine, produced by guys who love Jesus, for those committed to the maturation of their soul."
The publication featured:
And Sons rejected the typical magazine formula. Instead of aspirational lifestyle content, it published vulnerable personal essays. Instead of surface-level advice, it explored existential questions about identity, purpose, and faith. Topics ranged from whiskey tasting to overcoming pornography addiction, from motorcycle adventures to what it means to hold both "depravity and dignity" as a person.
In the foreword to Volume 10, Sam Eldredge reflected on endings, quoting Mary Oliver: "you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go."
The magazine's closure wasn't a failure—it was intentional. After 10 years, the team decided the chapter was complete. The archive remains, the podcast episodes are accessible, and PDF versions of all issues are available for download.
All 10 print volumes available for purchase at $20 each, with PDF versions available for digital readers. Individual articles remain accessible online from the archive.
