Full description and what to expect
All candidates MUST complete the new ILT Basics of Pistol Shooting course. NRA has changed the format of the Basic pistol shooting course. So even if you've already taken the basic pistol shooting course in the past and it wasn't the "ILT" format you must take this new version. This is so you can see the new way things are taught and as a result of you taking it you'll receive the basics of pistol shooting handbook which will be needed to take the pistol instructors course. This is a three part course lasting a total of 24 hours over three days. (8 hrs per day) Part two: 6hrs “Basic Instructor Training” (BIT).
