Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod and Gun Club was established in 1874, making it the oldest continuously operating club of its type in the nation. The club is located in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania and is dedicated to the propagation and conservation of wildlife and to promoting the shooting sports. Membership is required for general use, though the club welcomes non-members to club-sanctioned events and tournaments listed on its calendar.
The property has an upper pistol range and a lower rifle range, along with a trap range that has hosted a Boy Scouts of America trap shoot. The club runs IDPA matches, Rimfire Challenge, and NRA Basic Pistol classes. All ranges close to day shooting during the first weeks of firearm deer season.
