Sayre Sportsmen's Club

Sayre Sportsmen's Club operates a full shooting range with rifle facilities, trap and skeet pits, 5-stand, and a 50-bird sporting clays course in Athens, PA. The club hosts seasonal events and maintains its grounds through organized maintenance days and member involvement.

The club runs a casual 22LR plinking league during winter months designed as a low-pressure way to shoot with other members. There's a youth division and an adult division.

2025 League Details: - Cost: $30 covers all 6 weeks (due in full up front) - Schedule: Choose either Sunday 9am–12pm OR Wednesday 5:30–8pm (shoot once per week) - Setup: Use benches, bags, bipods, or shoot off-hand—your call - Each week: Different novelty targets - Prizes: Awarded at the end depending on participation - Contact: Colin Place at 570-637-0024

Dues go directly to maintaining the club. Here's the breakdown:

Members are expected to pick up after themselves and respect club property. The club occasionally holds work-bees (fall maintenance days with lunch provided) to prepare grounds for winter.

The pistol pits and rifle range close during designated hunting season to allow members to hunt the property—typically late November through early December.
