Location details and information

Quail Valley Hunt Club was opened in 1981 by the late Colonel James Madison "Big Jim" Walker, a highly decorated Army combat veteran and helicopter pilot who served three tours in Vietnam. For over 30 years, Big Jim built a reputation as a hunter's hunter—someone who shared his passion for bird hunting with thousands of hunters from every skill level and made a lasting impression on all of them.

Situated on 300 acres in Petersburg, Tennessee—just outside Lewisburg and about an hour from Nashville—Quail Valley sits in a broad valley among the hills of Middle Tennessee. The property features large fields planted in sorghum for bird cover, with cut strips that let dogs work and hunters position themselves for clean shots. At the center of the main farm is a historic cabin built in the late 1800s, perfect for porch-sitting after the hunt.
