Captain Brian operates a 23-foot Haynie bay boat and an airboat for shallow-water access. Customers consistently praise the boat setup—the Haynie features big comfortable chairs and a solid fishing platform suitable for all skill levels. The airboat lets anglers access ankle-deep back flats where larger fish hide.
All fishing gear is provided—rods, reels, tackle, and bait upon request. Water and ice are included on full-day trips. Anglers are welcome to bring their own equipment if preferred.
Captain Brian fishes across multiple productive areas:
Meeting Location: Aransas Pass Boat Launch, 1155 Bay St, Aransas Pass, TX 78336
Redfish and speckled trout are the primary targets, with seasonal variations driving where fish are located. Captain Brian adapts techniques based on current conditions—wade fishing shallow flats, working rocky structures, and exploring hidden back flats. Black drum and flounder round out the catch options on mixed-species trips.
Duck hunting trips target coastal waterfowl species including Red Pintails, Widgeon, Blue Bills, and Ruffle Heads in vast marshes and open water along the Texas Gulf Coast. Hunters bring their own gear and set out at dawn for prime shooting opportunities.
