Quickdraw isn't a typical drag racing product. It's the result of two founders—a licensed professional engineer with decades in defense and aerospace, plus a lifelong NHRA competitor—applying rifle trigger engineering to the transbrake problem.
Heads-up drag racers typically release the transbrake by pulling their thumb off a button. That motion uses 20-25 muscles and joints, introducing variables: fatigue, suit positioning, thumb placement, button pressure, and the button's internal inconsistencies. At the big money bracket races, those variables add up to reaction time spread that costs you rounds.
Quickdraw replaces that thumb-pull with a lever-based trigger mechanism precision-machined like a custom rifle trigger. The internal design uses:
Test results show it's quicker and more consistent than standard buttons, both in-car and on practice trees. It works well with pro tree racers and top bulb racers alike.
| Product | Price |
|---|---|
| Quickdraw Drag Trigger | $269.00 |
| Lever Package | $29.99 |
| Mounting Handle | $124.99 |
| Steering Wheel Mount | $19.99 |
| Mounting Plate | $14.99 |
| Cord | $39.99 |
The Difference: Quickdraw eliminates friction from surface contaminants and button cap cocking. Its precision levers break and operate the switch consistently—same engineering philosophy as a $1,000+ rifle trigger, applied to drag racing.
Jerry Stiller is a Texas PE who worked for Texas Instruments and Raytheon as a defense engineer designing military platforms. He founded High Performance Engineering (drag racing software and electronics), then Stiller's Precision Firearms in 1998—which grew to 4,000+ bolt action receivers per year and became one of the largest precision bolt action companies in the US before selling in 2017. He now runs Holeshot Arms, supplying 22LR benchrest rifles to competitors worldwide.
Wade Owens has been drag racing since age 3. He raced NHRA Stock Eliminator with 11 class win Wallys, built NMCA Super Street cars, and now owns Customs and Classics, LLC, doing high-end muscle car and street rod restorations.
