Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club

Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club is a private membership organization established in the 1940s and has been continuously active for over 80 years. Located in Sweetwater, Texas, the club maintains approximately 300 members and is affiliated with the NRA, TSRA, IHMSA, and ATA organizations.

The club operates two primary shooting facilities:

• •Members Range - Located at the main clubhouse (126-276 TX-170 Loop)
• •Upper range featuring nearly 300 yards of covered firing line for all-weather shooting
• •AR500 steel targets positioned at distances up to 500 yards
• •Paper target stands for precision shooting
• •Lower range dedicated to handgun and shotgun use
• •Manual clay thrower stations
• •Four designated handgun shooting locations
• •24/7 member access (except during competitions and maintenance)

• •Rattlesnake Ridge Shotgun Facility - Specialized clay target venue (501 Homer K Taylor Drive)
• •Two trap fields
• •Two skeet fields
• •Five-stand shooting station
• •Extensive acreage for sporting clays courses
• •Available for fundraisers and special events

Members can participate in: - Rifle shooting with paper targets and steel targets - Precision handgun shooting - Trap and skeet competitions (open to public at $5 per round) - Five-stand shooting - Sporting clays - Steel target shooting to extended distances

This is a private membership club. Members enjoy 24/7 range access and may bring up to 3 guests on the range. Regular trap and skeet events are open to the public at Rattlesnake Ridge.

Monthly membership meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the first Tuesday of each month at the clubhouse. The club also offers scholarship opportunities for college applicants.
