Full description and what we offer
Browning Safes started as Provo Steel & Supply Company in 1947 when F.L. (Shorty) Shurtliff launched a metalworking shop with $600 and a straightforward vision. The company supplied structural steel across the West before a customer casually mentioned needing a gun safe. Shorty saw the opportunity. In February 1977, they began manufacturing gun safes—and demand consumed their entire production capacity almost immediately.
When Browning (the legendary firearms company founded by John Moses Browning in 1878) needed a safe supplier for their dealer network, they contracted exclusively with ProSteel in 1983. Today, Browning Safes combine that industrial steel expertise with patented security innovations that set them apart from competition.
Heirloom quality safes designed to be on the job for generations.
