Torre Rifle Company's story spans four decades. Harold Torre started Whitetail Gun Shop part-time in 1980 while working full-time as a tool maker at IBM, focusing on lightweight hunting rifles and custom gunsmithing. In 1990, he went all-in on the gun business. That evolved into Whitetail Manufacturing, which grew to 19 employees doing aerospace parts manufacturing to AS9100 standards before Harold sold the business in 2010.
When a storm wiped out the family's sugar woods in 2017, Harold's son Justin became a full-time partner. Justin brought solid modeling and programming skills to the table. In 2020, Harold decided to pursue bullet manufacturing—combining his decades of machining knowledge with Justin's technical abilities.
Their process uses multiple technologies: - Cup & core expanding bullets: Deep-drawn copper cups paired with swaged lead cores - Monolithic bullets: All-copper construction with controlled expansion using impact extrusion - Swiss turn lathe manufacturing: Combined with specialized software for precision results
Every bullet reflects Harold's design and Justin's production expertise.

| Load Development | Bring or send your rifle. TRC adjusts trigger weight, beds the barreled action if needed, then develops the best velocity/accuracy combination with test loads at the range. Final load recorded and provided to customer. |
| Rifle Sight-In | Rifles are fully dismantled, bore cleaned of copper and powder fouling, all parts scrubbed and reassembled, then sighted for hunting season. |

The Whitetail Mount — a detachable scope mount with flip-up peep sight, designed by Whitetail Gun Shop in the 1980s and now reintroduced due to demand. It's a true return-to-zero mount.
