Full description and what we offer
The Camera Company transfers aging film and video to formats you can actually watch and share. Video tapes degrade over time—image and sound quality slip year after year from heat and humidity. Film reels are even more vulnerable. They handle the conversion before your memories become unwatchable.
They use state-of-the-art safe-scan technology with a precision bronze gate that handles film by the edges only—zero contact with the image area. A high-resolution 24-bit camera and cool LED light source (not a hot projection bulb) protect your originals from heat damage.
Film is captured frame-by-frame, then converted into smooth, flicker-free video. About 1,500 feet of film fits on one DVD. They also offer uncompressed .mov files on USB for editing—200 feet of film equals roughly 4GB.
