Full description and what we offer
Cameron's Quail Preserve and Bird Dog Kennels is a premier quail hunting destination in Aliceville, Alabama, offering world-class upland game bird hunting experiences since 1962. This family-owned preserve specializes in guided quail hunts featuring hard-flying coveys across expansive grounds maintained with multiple habitats and the Cameron's proprietary Managed Covey System.
Cameron's provides authentic Southern wing-shooting in the tradition of classic quail hunting. The preserve maintains abundant Bobwhite quail populations through careful management, releasing birds in spring and summer to develop strong coveys by hunting season. Hunters typically encounter 7-10 coveys per hunt, with 20-50 birds per covey.
The preserve features a comfortable lodge serving as a home base for hunters, professional kennels for bird dogs, and well-maintained grounds with mule-drawn wagons and gentle horses available for hunters of all ages and mobility levels. The operation accommodates everyone from seasoned outdoorsmen to beginners, corporate groups, families, and elderly hunters.
Founded by the late Bubber Cameron, the preserve is now operated by his sons John and Rush, with third-generation involvement ensuring continuity of the Cameron family's hunting traditions and commitment to quality.
