Full description and what we offer

Sawgrass Plantation sits in the heart of Sumter County's Black Belt—a region legendary for antler growth. Operating 5,000 acres just 7 miles west of Gainesville and less than 2 hours from Birmingham, they've built a reputation for consistently delivering 140-160 class deer through intensive land management.

The operation runs on "hunt and rest" principles: limited hunt dates to avoid overpressuring game, extensive burning programs, year-round feed management, and bedding area that holds deer from several thousand surrounding acres. Adjacent landowners maintain 8-point-or-better limits only, creating a quality ecosystem.

Track record: In 2008, two Sawgrass deer placed in the top 25 of the Buckmasters open division (MS-AL). One adjoining property owner scored a 23-point typical over 190 points in 2007.
