Full description and what we offer
Shoal Creek Taxidermy handles the one shot you get to preserve your hunt. Matt Harris, the owner and taxidermist, spent 20 years in the Army before transitioning to taxidermy full-time. He's worked on North American, African, and Asian mounts throughout his career and regularly competes—his work has won multiple awards including a 2012 Governor's Award for waterfowl, 2019 Blue Ribbon for game heads, and 2021 awards for mammal mounts and lifesize habitats.
"We're far from the most expensive and not the bottom-of-the-barrel cheapest. Our repeat customers keep coming back because we produce the highest quality results at a reasonable cost."
Matt and his wife Chrissy own and operate the shop themselves—they don't farm out work or cut corners. They use top-of-line products and chemicals, invest in ongoing education and training, and work directly with customers on every detail. Two major hunting camps in the area trust them as their go-to taxidermists. Unlike many competitors who run part-time or treat taxidermy as a hobby, Shoal Creek treats it as a craft.
