Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex isn't bragging when they talk about their air handling system. The setup costs $260,000 and uses negative atmospheric pressure to keep lead and toxins contained. Here's what that means on the range:
- •Air exchange every 52 seconds - All air filtered and recirculated constantly
- •75 filters replaced annually at over $7,000 per cycle
- •40 tons of AC capacity and 800,000 BTU furnace keep temps at 70-75°F year-round
- •8-foot fan diameter powered by a 75 HP motor with variable frequency drive
- •Dedicated electrical utility built just to power the air handler
The result: You shoot indoors in Montgomery without the typical range smell and heat buildup.
